Richard Bowden

Richard hails from a small little place on the southern border of Oklahoma. You may have heard of it............called Texas! He grew up in a town called Linden, which is located "In the land of the virgin pines and tall women", with a guy known as Don Henley. Richard and Don had a little garage band going which evolved into a professional gig as a band called Shiloh. With that band, they found themselves out on the west coast in the middle of the L.A. music scene. Soon thereafter, Richard and Don gained employment in the band of an up and coming female vocalist by the name of Linda Ronstadt. After a period of time, Don left and went on to form The Eagles while Richard went on to other avenues of musical enrichment as a lead guitarist and session artist for many of the big names in Rock and Roll as we know it today. Some of the names Richard has played lead guitar for, or performed on albums with.

Don Henley

Linda Ronstadt

Neil Young

Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac...(Bella Donna)

Commander Cody And His Lost Planet Airmen (Hot Rod Lincoln)

Dan Fogleberg

Johnny Rivers

Roger McGuinn

Sneaky Pete Kleinow (Flying Burrito Brothers)

The best part of the whole deal, is that in 1982 Sandy and Richard were introduced to one another by record producer Jim Ed Norman and were encouraged to team together as a songwriting duo. It seemed that everything they wrote came out funny. They decided to put together a routine for the stage and the rest is history! They came to be known as:

"America's Funniest Duo".....................................Pinkard & Bowden.
